Translations - DAIGO in Gokigenyou+ 4th Sept 2013
This last episode of 3 back to back Gokigenyou+ episodes mainly centred on DAIGO talking about 2 different stories which're both equally amusing if not entertaining xD
This probably is my fave out of the 3 episodes but then again it's DAIGO we're talking about so ~_~ & the Rock Suberu is forever embarrassing D:
1st story - Summary of DAIGO by using 1 word from what the general public thinks about him & likewise , the 1 word DAIGO chose to summarise about himself
The general public - Mago ; 孫
Mago means Grandson in Japanese & I kinda expected that since DAIGO's the grandson of Noboru Takeshita who was the 74th prime minister of Japan
DAIGO himself - Sabishī ; 寂しい
Sabishī means Lonely in Japanese . When asked why DAIGO used this word to summarise about himself , he said that he hates being lonely & as a result even though he's already 35 , he's still living with his parents + eldest sister Eiki Eiki + elder middle brother (who's the only 1 that's married with a kid) .
DAIGO then said how many other 35 years old rocker musicians who're in the same sorry state as himself ? probably not & he jokingly said that he's the 1st that's in this state LOL xD
Even the Gokigenyou+ host commented/said that the way DAIGO wrote 寂 speaks volume just how much he doesn't want to feel lonely hahaha
2nd story - Romance or studies ? DAIGO chooses romance 1st

This 2nd story is actually something DAIGO used to tell before 2 years ago on a variety show titled Unlucky Research Institute & I'm surprised he chose to talk about this again .
But anyway , DAIGO said that more than 10 years ago , he went to University & he was in the Arts faculty [DAIGO eventually didn't completed his degree ] .
1 of the assignments DAIGO had to do in 1 of the subjects of his University's course was that he had to make a ring from scratch .
And at that time , DAIGO was dating a junior in his school for 2 months & her birthday was coming really soon .
DAIGO asked what did his ex want as a birthday present & she replied she wanted something that's handmade . So DAIGO decided to put 100% focus on making the ring for her ! [isn't that romantic if not super sweet on his part ?]
Eventually after quite sometime , DAIGO showed the final completed product/ring to his lecturers + course mates . They all said the ring that DAIGO made was amazing & they commented that it looks like something that could be sold in PARCO (the departmental store that DAIGO was featured in their CMs 3 years ago) .
On the day of his ex's birthday , he gave the handmade ring to the girl . His ex commented : "Really ?! it looks very expensive" xD
DAIGO said he made it himself . His ex didn't believe him & went MAJI DE!? haha
His ex was very happy & wore the ring straightaway . To her , it was like the perfect birthday present .
However what DAIGO forgotten was that the submission date for his assignment was actually the day AFTER his ex's birthday O_____O'''
DAIGO completely zonked out on that & he unknowingly gave the ring to his ex 1 day before the assignment submission due date LOL D:
At that time , DAIGO felt that love was the most important thing to him so he didn't asked his ex to give the ring back to him ahahaha xD
Due to this , DAIGO didn't submitted the ring to his lecturer & he was given 0 marks for his assignment d'oh -__________-'''
As it was a compulsory module , DAIGO had to retake the subject again -_________-''' & to make things worst , DAIGO eventually broke up with his ex + he lost 3 things in total : the handmade ring he made for his ex , the girl AND his assignment marks =______='''
Even though DAIGO told this story before 2 years ago , this still never fails to make me laugh so badly where I don't know if I should feel sorry or laugh at poor DAIGO -_-
It's the exact same feeling I had when DAIGO was telling everyone about his other ex girlfriend which gave him the inspiration to write SUMMER PARTY ~_~ xD
I got to say , this's probably 1 of the many reasons on why I've liked DAIGO for so long as he's just so entertaining [let alone have many funny stories to tell] & the talento side of him says a lot as he's able to be super funny without going over the top whenever he appears on variety shows .
For DAIGO to tell something that could be sensitive (like about his late grandpa as it revolves on politics) & turning it into a joke/saying it as such , it takes a lot of skills to do that which's something I can't do at all .
