After Dinner Mysteries (2013)
A Japanese production featuring Sakurai Sho, Keiko Kitagawa and Kippei Shiina
A movie sequel to the highly successful same-name Japanese drama series, bulk of the After Dinner Mysteries was shot in Singapore for two weeks long in 2012 on board a high-end cruise ship and with parts of it at Raffles Hotel and the Merlion Park -- with a stunning closing shot of the Singapore skyline from the Esplanade in the evening, no less.
Through the lens of After Dinner Mysteries… Singapore is a cosmopolitan city that offers entertainment both on dry land and the high seas. And while this movie is one of the many productions (on this list) that featured our breathtaking skyline, the After Dinner Mysteries takes the cake for giving it a humorous spin i.e., to have its two leads re-enact the infamous Titanic back hug pose at sunset on a… bumboat.
