In 2005 Alvin flied from Singapore to HK to work as makeup artist. After eight years, he declared "I am a creative director".
Half-a-year ago, Alvin presented his portfolio to Ayu's management. This led him to this Bazaar cover story - his first with Ayu. He designed eight 'styles' for her in 10 hours. The wardrobe, which he brought from HK, contained some of his private collection (remarked as stylist-own: diva, avant garde, punkie, dominatrix, purist).
"A lady waiting for love", Alvin describes Ayu, "like a princess". Alvin and Ayu are now friends. "She added me on facebook, then sent email to me to say 'I miss you', and she has invited me to work as her stylist for Avex Trax anniversary show.
