Aiba Masaki becomes Best Jeanist for 3rd Consecutive Year

Arashi’s Aiba Masaki (30) has forever entered the Hall of Fame as Best Jeanist. In the 30th ”Best Jeanist 2013″ (hosted by the Japan Jeans Association), Aiba Masaki has for the 3rd consecutive year stood as number one in the men’s segment on October 2nd, and he attended the event in Tokyo where the award was presented.

Aiba Masaki was wearing a black leather jacket with the words ‘This is the Royal Road’ (oudou desu) along with a white t-shirt, and he wore skinny ripped jeans with a chain attached. He greeted the audience meekly, saying, “Being able to receive this award for the 3rd time, I am very happy. From now on, I think I will live on for jeans. Mentally.” When Lola (23), who was number 1 in the women’s segment, said, “Aiba-san said something weird-,” Aiba retorted with a straight face, “Lola, we aren’t saying anything appropriate.”

Among the members of Johnny’s Entertainment, SMAP’s Kimura Takuya, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi, and KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya continued to be recognized. This year Matsumoto Jun placed 8th, and Ohno Satoshi placed 9th in the ranking. Aiba said, “The other members of Arashi have also entered in the ranking, but it would be nicer if you all followed me,” modestly hoping to being the best jeanist among Arashi.

Watanabe Ken (53), LiLiCo, and Girl’s Generation were also presented a Best Jeanist award.
