I didn't know what they were talking about at first either, so I watched it closely, and there's this old couple that they keep flashing to that look they're sitting in some sort of palace. I'll try to figure out what "time" they're at:
Okay, they show up at about 3:13...they're in at other times too, but that's who they are.

As for the PV, I keep thinking about "past lives" as well. And do you notice that there are a lot of forms of butterflies in this PV?
