I haven't been overly impressed with anything she's released either. I just can't bring myself to listen to her new music after a few listens. '
Higher', 'Hot Girls -club remix-', 'Alive', and '
Ballerina' are the
only songs that's she's released in the past 4yrs that I actually like.
Namie has been on a releasing spree because she mentioned in interviews that she's actually eager and ecstatic to release new music whereas before her anniversary she wasn't. Moving to her own label and cutting ties with her previous management (
which she openly admitted to having problems with) inspired her to record a lot of new music and try new things. She now wants to release music for as long as possible and manage other upcoming artists as well.
I'm happy for her but the quality of her music seems to have taken a backseat since she was given this new found freedom.
