I kind of hope that he proposed and Ayu just wanted to let TA know first so it is just a coincidence that it has been announced now. I know it seems fast to us but Maro was over a year ago wasn't it?
I think the not wanting to leave Japan thing with Mannie was partly the reason but also a good cover so she didn't have to explain her problems with Super Mannie until she was ready to. The Maro thing was more due to him being...economical with the truth than her fault I think.
I hope it all works out this time. She has been looking very happy in photos lately so I wish them the best
