I was the most surprised when I realized I liked it as much as I did, lol. I've never been into Gaga and at first it did really sound like bad noises over bad noises. Then, thanks to Do What U Want, I decided to give it a real chance and listened to it several times, and with the patience it was needed I eventually loved every song. I can't say about others, but it really isn't so chaotic as it seems. I can't blame anyone for giving up after one try, she didn't make an easy album, but it's not that hard to get into etiher. I found it edgy, extremely various and dynamic and, most of all, really, really, really interestingly sung. Gaga's voice was SO NICE.
I would advice anyone who tried to listen to it to take their sweet time, and maybe listen to one song at a time. I think it's worth it.
I don't find the lyrics so bad, I honestly saw much worse, but it's not really my language and I know very well that makes the difference (it's one of the problems I have with italian music nowdays).

Well, to be quite honest, I didn't find it to be hard to listen or "all noises", I found it to be boring and overly safe. It was way too bland for me.
