Oh that one I really love. Especially the top. I did have sewing lessons when I was like 10 years old, but never did anything after that lessons. In 2010 I started again (with A LOT of help ;-P) to sew this dress (Dance of the Vampire musical). My friend went as the Count of Krolock and it was so much fun. The vampire actresses and actors walked through the rows in the audience and always tried to "attack" me and my friend. (we always sat in the first row so it was very easy to spot us ^_^)

And later on I started the Bubble Dress. I did it by trial and error. if something didn't work out I looked all over the internet for advice and started again. The dress was finished the night before our musical visit. Up until 1 am my friend and I glued the sequins onto the dress and then I had to leave the petticoat behind, cause it wouldn't fit into my luggage *cries*. The dress is so huge and heavy. The skirt alone weighs about 3kg...
So I see you have a very experienced mentor with you mom at your side. But still I would be happy to give advice, if I am able to help.
