I miss that quiet fear Christina had when she released Stripped. Back then, her music was amazing because she decided to do something she wasn't sure would be anything significant to people. BTB, B, and L all suffer from the same crap attitude that's pushed Christina further down the charts and, no pun intended, stripped her of that human quality she had that other pop stars did not.
I hope this next record isn't another tired "pop diva" record where she overdoes the glam and puts up this front that she is as big as today's chart toppers... she isn't. Right now, more than ever since 2001, pop music needs a new "Stripped". We need that record that someone with Christina's talent does that doesn't sound like a "home run" but just might be.
If she can't pull that off then I'm hoping Madonna gives us another Ray of Light-type record.
I don't mean to trash talk Christina though. I'm very disappointed in how she's sold herself as *almost* a fame whore, someone who thinks they deserve to have everyone's attention just for being who they are. That's so far from the person she started out as, someone who was hellbent on not letting the music industry turn her into another Britney Spears.
