ayu clearly doesn't care for these things anymore.
She wants to release music, make tours and live her life in LA obviously without doing so much promo, at least herself.
I think that it's great that her sales nowadays are steady.
Terminal was no example for anything.
Only the most of the most of the most hardcore fans would buy this single (probably for its cover and for the sake of having it).
It wasn't a new song, it was a re-cut, just the instrumental and a remix, of a song already released on an album. With no promo no tie-in, no billboards, no anything. Just a certain extra from ayu to fans (not sure why but ok).
I love Terminal but even as a fan that really love and appreciate ayu for a long time, I really didn't care for Terminal as a single.
With Zutto/Last minute/Walk she went back on the normal singles lane and its sales almost match to the single she released a year before hand.
And obviously it's not only 2,000 or even only 35,000 that will go to all of the tour dates of the new arena tour. She is STILL very successful, especially when it comes to tours. She gets her millions or at least hundred thousands.
