I absolutely LOVE this cover, her expression is beautiful and the lenses work wonderfully to accent her eyes without contrasting too much against the rest of the picture. I think the aforementioned exposure actually works well for her face in this picture, but her clothing doesn't look too good with it.
I've always been a fan of dress-up both in fantasy and real life, so her doll-likeness doesn't bother me at all, though I definitely the understand the feeling of "the uncanny valley" and the plastic doll-thing being disturbing/off-putting to some people. But I personally don't expect (nor do I want) all photo shoots to be ultra realistic and down to earth; photography(/photo retouching) is a type of art after all, and as long as we recognize it as such, I personally don't see any problem with these kinds of pictures unless they become excessive in their quantity or their content (for example if the fantasy is taken too far).
Hopefully I framed my words tastefully here, I don't want to step on the toes of the people who don't like this kind of picture.
