I think you should just go in listening to the album with an open mind. It's completely different to anything she's done before, so it may be pretty shocking if you're only used to her singing ballads or quirky songs. In fact, there's not a single ballad on this album.
It's not some deep thoughtful masterpiece, but it's the perfect album if you want to get up and dance (with the occasional cocktail break lol). It's upbeat and fun from start to finish.
