I've been sleighed by Namie. I know I love to drag her but I love this trick. She did it for me in this battle but I'm gonna pray for her English. She needs help. I didn't know what the hell she was saying half the time and only like two songs have only licks of Japanese in them.
Kumi's album is as forgettable as ever (although dancing in the rain is great) and Ayu just did the same old shit but I do like Walk. I was gonna vote for last minute but I can't justify that vote with the bad mixing. It's like people praising the Mona Lisa if someone took a dump on it. Also It is kinda funky and a lil fun jam with no mixing problems that my ears can
actively hear.
I kinda think the poll is unfair. Comparing Namie to Ayu and Kumi is like comparing a varied buffet to a boring sandwich you have everyday. You like the sandwich and stick to it everyday because it does its job but you go to the buffet like you've never eaten anything in your life before because you just want a taste of all that good tasty food. Butternut squash soup, roast with bell peppers and mashed potatoes, pasta with melted cheese, corn, quinoa, etc. I'm at a point where I love ayuma but I'd introduce myself as a Namie fan first to people. Although there are a lot of Ayu songs I love, Namie really delivers with the types of songs I like most. Maybe it's that A ONE was just an unfortunate rehash of sounds that came out in 1000 B.C.
