As much as I love A ONE and sixxxxxx (for the lyrics mostly) I think she should keep experimenting no matter what people say but not like what she did with COLOURS. That album was nice at first but when I read the lyrics, it was the first time I felt so disconnected with her songs. It didn't feel like Ayu. I also felt that she was trying too hard to be a western popstar there, especially in XOXO PV. I couldn't stand it because I felt like I was watching Ariana Grande (I can't stand her) instead, lol. And Ayu is not that annoying. A ONE and sixxxxxx are good because they have that Ayu feel on them that I love.
(Miss)understood era Ayu is the one I love the most. That album really has a perfect mix of many different genres in it. It would be awesome if there was something like that coming out next. Not the same thing, but similar. I think Party Queen's diversity was going to the right direction and it sucks that she stopped experimenting like that after that. I hope she'll experiment more in the future but keeps the Ayu feel in her work. It would be like a mix of old and new or something like that.
As for the sales issue here, I don't think she does badly at all. I think it's awesome that she can still hit 40,000-50,000 sales after being active singer for 17 years. Her sales could be much, much worse, too.
