I think a lot of people are very overdramatic when it comes to responding to Ayu's music.
Like if you don't like something.. deal. It takes far less words to simply deal with it than constantly throw poo on Party Queen and Colors, haha.
I can't say I've particularly enjoyed anything since probably Love Songs, but that's just how music goes. You can't like EVERYTHING an artist puts out. And she's not going anywhere, so I'm sitting tight to see what she does next. I listened to A One twice before shelving it, just as I did with Sixxxxxx.
They both sounded uninspired, as did Colors. BUT: I clocked in several thousand plays of her cover of Movin on Without You.
So it really depends. Terminal got me going a bit. Return Road blew my mind. Her last classical album is still kinda on rotation on my iPhone.
Point is: I don't think it's worth it to constantly complain about songs you don't like. At least we have something new coming.
