And her voice is clearly pleading after losing all strength to move forward during the stripped down refrain after the chorus. I know exactly what you're talking about and I agree. It's the little things that brings a song to another level. Mad World is, in my opinion, the standout track of the album and definitely one of my favourites in terms of her recent work.
