I don't think marketing is the problem here as already before THIS IS ME ~ayaka 10th anniversary BEST~ was released , ayaka went on numerous radio stations to promote it
And likewise on Tue she did a free live in Osaka & not only that , she went on recently THE MUSIC DAY and this coming Sat she'll be performing at Ongaku no Hi
I think the general public just doesn't care about this release and THIS IS ME ~ayaka 10th anniversary BEST~ is strictly for fans . Likewise if you did not purchase ayaka's past 2 Warner released best albums , then this release's something worth getting
THIS IS ME ~ayaka 10th anniversary BEST~ is probably doing well digitally I'm not sure but considering the physical copies' prices is almost 700 Yen more expensive , I doubt so
Also if you don't know for the longest time , Johnnys has
NEVER released their music on online sites , except when Johnnys leave the agency then they list their music (INKT , Akanishi Jin , ONE OK ROCK)
End of the day if you look at the big picture , sales is 1 thing . ayaka still is able to do tours & from what I've seen , she always tend to sell most if not all dates out & if she's able to perform in Nippon Budokan of all places , then there's no cause to worry about so excessively
