musicJAPANplus wrote an English report on last Sat's concert which took place at Shanghai , China
Quote:
Singer and model Tsuchiya Anna performed on August 20th at QSW Culture Center Q Hall in Shanghai, China. The performance was part of event called "ROAD TO ASIA", which is hosted by entertainment company BANANA CULTURE, and it invites stars from China, South Korea and Japan. Tsuchiya Anna is a very popular artist in China, which resulted into a passionate approach from the event. She was the first Japanese artist to do a headlining show within the event.
Tsuchiya Anna is so popular in China, that the Ministry of Public Security of China had to step in to limit the sales of the tickets; the tickets were so wanted among the Chinese public, that even though they costed over 10,000 yen (= over 100 USD), the show was sold out within few days and you could not get your hands on the tickets. The local media referred to her as the "Madonna of Asia", and Asian medias came to see the show all the way from Peking, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
At 19:30, Anna appeared on the stage wearing a red leather coat. She was greeted with cheers so loud that they sounded like screams, accompanied by loud applause. There were fans who were crying of all the emotions they felt.
Anna took a hold of the microphone, and edgy guitar riffs echoed to the hall as she performed "rose", which is well known as the opening theme for anime "NANA". From the very first song the fans held their fists in the air and sang along loudly. She performed a total of 18 songs, including songs from anime "NANA" and movie "Bio Hazard". "LUCY", "Kuroi Namida (黒い涙)", "GUILTY", "CARRY ON" were part of her set list.
The show lasted for around 90 minutes, making the summer night of Shanghai even hotter. The costume of the night was a very Anna-like punk-fashion inspired coordinate featuring red leather jacket, blue and black corset, satin skirt and a police cap. The costume had been made by h.NAOTO especially for this show. The fans were charmed by the styling of Anna Tsuchiya, who is also known as a top model.
Anna has been approached for live shows from all over the world, so stay tuned for more!
