Haha, the true fan stuff went from being a joke to actually being something people used to define again. You can only really split fans into 'casual fans' and 'active fans' imo, and that's only in the difference between "Oh, I like her when she's on the radio" to "I've bought her CDs/watched her live once/keep up with her updates" onwards...
So anyone who has signed up to a forum about her was, at least at one point, way more than a casual fan
There will always be people who think themselves above the rest because they spend a lot of money, and even as someone who has spent quite a bit in the past gathering up her albums, that's just a quality of life standard (being able to purchase things) rather than a fan standard. But I think most of us know this automatically through common sense - I hope no one feels they have to prove their fan status somehow because that's ridiculous. I'm always happy when I see new fans join the community no matter how long ago they started listening to Ayu.
EDIT: Also this is way off-topic now, so maybe if people want to continue this it should be taken to another thread.
