Purchasing concerts - what never made it to Blu-ray?
Hi all,
Has anybody ever put together a simple list of Ayu's concerts and what format they've each been sold on? I'm interested in purchasing a bunch of her stuff - the year-end Countdown Live shows and the yearly tours...and although I can find some good deals on DVDs, I don't want to purchase a DVD (even at a good price) only to later find out that concert can also be purchased on Blu-ray, because I just didn't happen to see the option or availability wherever I may have been looking at the time.
For example, as far as I'm aware, her very first Concert Tour 2000 (volumes 1 and 2) only exist in DVD format because, after all, HD cameras simply didn't back then, and they've never been upconverted (at least from the source material) and then sold on Blu-ray.
As far as I've been able to establish, some of the stuff started showing up on Blu-ray in the mid- to late 2000s, but having a definitive list would help.
As an aside - Avex's site is an embarrassment when it comes to that sort of thing.
