Lmao, sorry; every time I listen to the original I think "well, maybe I'm overreacting" but I still end up having this very visceral experience where I'm just left flabbergasted as to how anyone can stomach that version, let alone be completely enamored by it in Japan. More so it just reaffirms my belief that the arrangment of a piece is everything. I am left mesmerized by that fact, so in that sense, I guess it's a good thing.
On a positive note, I FINALLY became able to enjoy stay with me. For the longest time I felt that the chorus was such a drag and very much of a letdown. Especially in comparison to the sense of grandiosity that Yume no Uta's evokes.
P.S. Did you know the urban kiss version of ai no uta is better than the original? you should check it out sometime. lmao.
