That really was such an adorable PV. ...She SMILES! Can't remember the last time I saw MIKA smile, and certainly not in a PV. I'll put this among my favorites from her.
It makes me excited for TOUGH. I feel like all of the singles and b-sides are really strong, nothing super catchy but nothing easily forgettable. And the thing about this is that I don't feel like it's been too long of a wait. I'm just looking forward to what I anticipate will be a really great album.
As an aside, my best friend, who's always hated MIKA, recently heard the Hanataba and Forget Me Not singles and finally gets it. MIKA's not Ayumi, Koda, or Namie, she's a whole different beast. She's an artist you mature with, that you share a reflective moment with, that you sometimes dance with, but that you ultimately grow up with. And that's it. There's no razzle dazzle, sexy dance moves, generic beats... just a woman whose art reflects life.
