Arashi's Japonism sold 1.2 million in 2015/2016. Also, the SMAP album as mentioned by Karen. Honestly, I see Namie's going the way that SMAP's album did. Both artists were such a huge part of Japanese culture. It will EASILY surpass Ballada's sales. That's like not even a question in my mind. Japan LOVES nostalgia and all of her fans from the 90s would be in their 30s and 40s now, who likely have not bought all her releases post 2000s and they now have money to burn.
