Attune / Detune is such a weird release... It was obvious from the start that it was just a bunch of leftovers from the last album, but it's even more obvious listening to it.
My favourites are TURN IT UP and Itsuwari no Sympathy, which I like a little more every time I hear it. The new versions of ERASER and (especially) Wakusei Tantra are nice, because the original songs are great, but I feel like they don't really contribute much or bring out anything new in the songs, which I like alternate versions to do.
I'm really meh about One Temperature, I don't find it very memorable. KEMURI was never my favourite song in the first place, and the new version doesn't sway me one way or another, but I do like the fact that the vocals are completely different (not just that they're in English and obviously by a different singer, but that it's a rap and it's not all distorted like ACO's version). I do have to say though, the first time I listened to the whole album, the two KEMURIs and the interlude in-between all just blended together so much that I didn't realise the new version was playing until I was at the end of the song, lol.
I'm disappointed with the instrumental Labyrinth. I thought an orchestral take of the song had the potential to be really good, but this version is unambitious, minimalist, and kinda cheap. I was hoping there would be an actual attempt to replicate the fantastical soundscape of the original version with orchestral instruments, or do a different beautiful sound, but this is just piano and some strings doing the least. Basically, I was hoping to hear MY STORY Classical, but what I got was ayu-mi-x Acoustic Orchestra Side.
