"Finally" sold 638,939 units this year, making it the #1 Album of the Year for the 2nd year in a row. This makes Namie the first artist in 43 years to have the same album top Oricon for 2 consecutive years. The last artist to do this was Yosui Inoue in 1973-1974.
She's also the first female solo artist to top the sales ranking in 11 years. The last female soloist to do this was Kuu in 2007.
Her sales for this year alone came out to be
19 billion yen ($169 million USD).
