Yeah. Like I said, It's unfortunate that Avex/labels did that to these singers. Sounding unique/different/interesting or at least very engaging is important, you have to catch the attention or nobody will pay any attention to your work. It's just a shame they didn't help artists do it in the proper way, because now we're seeing the results of how 20+ years of bad technique (though to be fair it wasn't bad the whole time, but once you get an injury if you don't give it enough time or it doesn't heal properly you're just making it worse and you'll have even more problems later on.)

I don't even know if they realized what they were doing at the time, I certainly didn't know what I was doing when I was copying these styles. I just liked how they sounded and I tried to sound the same by studying and watching and replicating what they were doing physically, and it was not a good idea. But most people don't think about it like that until it's explained how damaging it could potentially be, if not now then later on.
