The special pretty much summarises the book. The author received a request from their side to write the book (she doesn't specify whether the offer came from Ayu directly). She interviewed Ayu and Matsuura over the span of one year to collect data, sometimes separately, sometimes together.

The book was very nice to read. It's not cheap or scandalous or anything. It's an interesting look into how Ayu became a big star and what it cost her. I'm looking forward to the drama.

Thanks a lot for your insight! Although I haven't read the book I felt that's how it's perceived in general (after checking a number of tweets and instagram posts). I'm glad that's getting confirmed.
