Yeah, the movie sucks. But it flopped WAY harder in the US than it did on Asia. DBE wasn't a hit by any means, neither was Rule, but the tie-in gave the track a little more fuel than a lot of her work from the same time period. It was actually able to get top #5 or even #1 in some countries for the weeked, but as its just a plain bad movie, it didn't last long.
It actually was able to make more money than it spent... Even if not by a huge margin.
