Yesterday she held an event to introduce songs off the new album:
- Fly Away - is dedicated to people feeling that they are not heard or understood. G.E.M wrote it when she felt herself on the verge of depression. Back then she wasn't feeling well at all, and people kept saying "it's gonna be ok".
- 很久以後 A Long Time Later - is about a breakup (most probably with Yoga Lin). She cried so much on the day of the recording that she had to do it all over again on the next day.
- 螢火 Firefly - dedicated to her mother. Her mother thought that the demo was too noisy, G.E.M had to "simplify" it.
- 灰狼 Grey Wolf - is about the fact that the world is not black and white, we're all "grey". It's a summary of the album.
- 多美麗 How Beautiful is about beautiful things or just things we can't catch.
Each song represents an animal. For Fly Away, it's owls. For A Long Time Later, it's cats, because they're licking their wounds in hiding but act strong in front of others. For Miss Similar it would be a peacock, meaning metaphorically that we live in a world of appearances. For How Beautiful, it's a butterfly.
Since her album is supposed to have 10 songs if I'm not mistaken, one song has obviously been kept secret.
