okay i found something really unexpected while reading
sayonara, zetsubou sensei !!! 
i watched and read this years ago and on a reread when i read cry to songs i knew there HAS to be an ayu reference since the series is packed with references
and another less interesting sighting was this in a chinese shop (i was looking for ayu things the whole trip there...)
