NEWS To Provide The Theme Song For Massu's Drama

It was announced on Mar 25th that NEWS will be providing the theme song for Massu's upcoming drama, "Rental Nanmoshinai Hito". Titled "Beautiful", it is a song especially written for the drama and can be heard during the drama's premiere episode on Apr 8th.

On the decision to have NEWS sing the theme song
I'm really happy! To have NEWS sing the first ever drama I play the leading role in and have them help to hype things up makes me happy of course, and because it's a really wonderful song, I hope many people can get to see the drama and hear this song.

What to look out for in "Beautiful"
This song follows the drama theme perfectly, talking about how it's beautiful even when you're not doing anything or pushing yourself too hard. While NEWS has many difficult songs, "Beautiful" is a song that you can easily remember after just one listen. It's that simple, but very beautiful and gentle. I'd be happy if this can be a song that's always there for someone, just like how the drama will be.

A "beautiful" episode
Because I like beautiful things and objects, I've been telling NEWS' music producer that I want to sing a song around the theme of "beautiful". While we've gotten to sing such songs before, that they made "Beautiful", a song themed around "beautiful" to be the theme song of the drama I star in, makes me extremely happy.

Also, the producer knows I'm really good at whistling. So the whistling you hear in "Beautiful" is actually by me! "Beautiful" and "whistling" - I think this song is one that's filled with everything me (laugh).
