YOSHIKI announces global music event on YouTube

On November 20, YOSHIKI (X JAPAN) held an online press conference revealing the details on his worldwide project.
As the music industry worldwide has taken a hit from the COVID-19 pandemic, YOSHIKI wanted to "deliver a message to people around the world that we can overcome any difficulty," so he invited guests from various countries to hold a music event online.
Under partnership with YouTube, a program titled 'YOSHIKI: Under The Sky' will broadcast on December 23. So far, there are eleven confirmed artists participating in the event: Marilyn Manson, The Chainsmokers, St. Vincent, Nicole Scherzinger, SUGIZO, HYDE, Jane Zhang, Lindsey Stirling, SixTONES, Scorpions, and Sarah Brightman. More artists will be added to the lineup later.
On his collaboration with HYDE, he commented, "Because we collaborated on the theme song for 'Shingeki no Kyojin' ('Attack on Titan'), he willingly accepted [my offer]. Since we talk about a lot of things, I think it was natural that HYDE participated. We will be rearranging a song that everyone knows, so please look forward to it."
