I guess it depends on their instructions to the distribution provider. You can choose which channels you want to distribute to with each release, but as far as I was able to see, most of Namie’s material, excluding collaborations and maybe a few other tracks are on both Spotify and Apple Music, which leads me to think that both channels are approved for distribution by default unless instructed otherwise. I don’t have Apple Music subscription and rarely use Spotify, I have her stuff from cd or iTunes so maybe there’s something I’ve missed. I want to know what’s going on too. If it is not a mistake we should hopefully get some kind of explanation soon.
