this is just the catalogue number for avex. every avex japan version cd is AVCD-then a number (i think 5 digits), so its like an id for each cd. i think what yesasia means is that these are japan version because the japan ver catalogue numbers are all AVCD-##### while the overseas ones are usually AVTCD-#####. you dont need a special player or nething, you're thinking of SACD (super audio cd) and stuff. i hope this answered ur question
