Depends. I think all drives have an internal limit of 5 region changes. You can see how many you have left and if you can change it via start, control panel, system, hardware, device manager, DVD/CD drives, double click your DVD drive, then select the region tab. (Will alter slightly if your not using XP) I have used this before in order to view a different region DVD. Beware though, once you run out of your changes, your drive becomes locked to that region
There are also other solutions out there, such as flashing new firmware onto your drive, but its not simple. You can also use some software to bypass it too I believe.
