Oh hum. Another one of these threads.
The same thing happens in Japan, you just don't notice it. Hundreds of untalented idols with weak voices and terrible music come out in Japan every year.
Most people who adopt your opinion aren't very aware of HK music and they draw conclusions immediately. Alot actually like untalented artists themselves, only that they're Japanese.
For every bad singer you can name, I can name a good one.
Wilfred Lau, Ella Koon, Fiona Sit, Jade Kwan, at17, Maggie Fu, Pong Nan, Chet Lam, GarLum, Jolie Chan are just some of the talented artists in recent years, some with very good live singing, and others such as Pong Nan, Chet Lam, at17 and Maggie Fu being composer/song writers also.
And Deep is actually a pretty good live singer. Ayumi however......
