1) "Aw dude, that sucks... but maybe now avex will release alot of those remixes that they haven't yet in the hopes of making more money off her name... PLEASE avex money-grubbing, don't fail me now!!"
2) AHS would probably still be around for awhile cuz fans will still have questions, downloads they want to trade, and scans to share. "News" is a small part of the ayu fan community, really.
3) To be honest, I don't think much will happen to the industry as a whole. Ayu isn't quite the trendsetter she once was, nor does she release cds nonstop the way she did in 2000-2001. Ayu's really doing her own thing now, this last album was much more personal than alot of her other stuff, where before things were done for the fans and for the industry. I think it might send minor shockwaves through it for awhile but within a year the industry will have moved on.
4) I think maybe BoA or Hikki or someone will take the throne as the reigning queen of asian pop, cuz heaven knows people who follow music always need someone huge to either worship or dispise. I also think that ayu's online presence will start shrinking but some of the bigger sites will stay there just in case new fans are created later. It does happen. Later on ayu might make a comeback the way several past jpop stars have done but she'll never be as big as she was between 2000 and 2002.
