The best way to explaing playing a pinch harmonic is muting the string you just played with the thumb on your right hand (or left hand if you pick with it). Then vibrating that note with the left hand (or right if you fret with it). I use this technique quite a bit since I do some shred stuff. It adds a really nice ''squeal''. Question, do you read Guitar World every month? That is where I pick up a lot of tricks. I just wish John Petrucci and Joe Satriani would write columns again.

By the way I was referring more to knowlege of genres, artist, songs, etc. in the realms of rock, blues, and jazz. Not so much techniques. I am by no means an expert guitarist (not yet anyway) but I do know a few things.
