As far as I can remember, Sony Music uses a more effective copy protection than Avex called Labelgate.

None of the mika nakashima rips have had that glitch so far. It happens to certain CD rips like the ones I mentioned, but again the label seems to be always SONY. I've tried downloading the same songs from different sources and they always have the glitch in the same part in the last trackat the end. Like if I download any "web of night" single, be it on winmx, or mIRC, or Soulseek, and even in different bitrates, they always have the glitch, that also happens in the other sony cds I mentioned. I'm not sure if I have been actually downloading the same rips that got costumized by people to transform them into different bitrates or if they're different rips that no matter what always get the glitch. If only anyone owned any of those actual singles but i highly doubt as most of them aren't that popular artists (popular in a sense that ppl would actually buy their singles), with the exception maybe of TMR and nami tamaki...I dunno.
And yep, maybe it's probably because of the protection but it would be good if I could be sure if the real cds have or not the glitches as I mentioned, or if it's actually just the protection that makes the rips come out like that. What's really funny is that it always follow the same pattern (Last Track, in the end)

It always depend on a lot of factors like: the person who made the rips, the program used for it, the settings used in the program to rip the files, the characteristics of the cd (copy protected, etc), the quality of the sound system of your computer, the quality of the programes you will use to play the files and the settings they're in (how everything is equalized, etc). That large number of variables can make mp3s have a certain different quality of sound then when you put the cd directly into your sound system and play it.
