I posted this in another thread, but I'm not sure if anyone saw it, so here it is again, since this refers to the concert mentioned by DerrickRocks.

I went to the BoA concert last night in LA and wanted to share my view with you all. Firstly, let me preface this by saying that I am a BoA fan. I'm not a hardcore one - I don't own any of her Korean albums, but I do like her, so I was looking forward to seeing her.

I'm sad to say that I came away feeling a bit dissappointed. First of all, it wasn't a full concert and that is what I was expecting going in. It turns out, that the main even tonight was a beauty pageant, not a concert! It was for Miss Korea Southern California 2005, with BoA and 2 other groups performing a couple of songs afterwards. This was in no way apparent on Ticket Master or anywhere else that I saw written about this event.

Here was her set list.

1. My Name
2. My Prayer
3. Rock With You
4. Spark
5. Valenti/No. 1 medley.

Unfortunately that was it. 5 songs for $60(glad I didn't spring for the $100 dollar tickets!) Now, this would have been fine, had they stated clearly that this would be it before people bought the tickets, but it wasn't stated at all. I am glad that I saw her, because seeing top level asian artists here is rare, but they should have been more upfront about what people were actually buying tickets for.

Another thing that was dissappointing was that with the exception of My Prayer and Rock With You, she was very obviously lip synching everything. The other groups that were performing were lip synching too. I know in Korea, lip synching is very common and since this was a Korean sponsered event I was expecting it but it's still dissapointing. BoA has a beautiful voice - she shouldn't lip synch as much as she does. In fact the most memorable performance was Rock With You, and that is one that she didn't lip synch.

I know some other people from this board went to the concert as well. Maybe they could chime in with their opinions too?
