As for a single's official title, it's better to go by what the spine or obi says, since that's not really using any design conventions. Alot of times the graphic designer will put the c/w song's name on the cover just cuz they think it'll look nice there. The spine is no-nonsense, artist and title. Maybe a nice font. that's about it.
The spine just says fairyland, then it's just called fairyland.

um no. There is a diffrence between c/w and bside. For example Inspire c/w Game. If Game was a Bside it wouldn't get a PV and as much attention as it did compared to something like Heat from Koda Kumi which most people haven't even heard of.
