They clearly outine why someone can be banned. In the two cases where people (read: people, not users) have been permanently banned the action was the absolute last resort. Both people were banned for behavior that occured over the period of more than a year. Both received multiple warnings telling them to the bad behavior, but they did not comply and were eventually banned after much deliberation. Mad_Cauter and people new to this forum: this explaination should be sufficient for you.
All others: The specifics of this have been convered months ago and WILL NOT be covered again. I'm sure that
ALL parties concerned would rather move on from it. I certainly know that I do.
No one will be banned for no reason, or without warning. If someone is on the edge of being banned, they WILL be aware of the situation, because in most cases if it's even possible to ban them they would have been warned, usually over many months.
Major incidences, such as posting pornography warrant a temp ban without prior warning. Hacking the forum will result in an automatic permanent ban without warning. No one was recieved a permanent ban without warning to date.
