That's really a pity too cuz their songs are quite nice. I don't like how they're being released though, on the mini-albums. They should have waited and released an album... the presentation of mini-albums is rarely a good idea... people see it as a ripoff and sales go down.

Anyway, I really doubt ayu-mi-x 5 will happen, since ayu-mi-x 4 a) didn't do so well and b) had those "+selection" tracks on it... the best-of disease is that it's kinda over after that. Remember how ayu DIDN'T want "A Best" released? She knew avex's intentions were to basically end her career after that cd. Other artists like Aikawa Nanase never got back their popularity after the best-of cd was released; ayu was LUCKY. But honestly, the same thing would go for ayu's ayumix series. Best-of = End. Ayu-mi-x 5 may not happen. Granted we waited nearly 5 months after "Duty" for ayu-mi-x 3, so it wouldn't necessarily have been released by now (even though the gap has usually been 3 or so months on other albums). But it probably would have at least been announced or rumored about by now. Plus ayu's style is quite different, and avex's way of marketing her is different. The remixes on ayumixes 3 and 4 weren't nearly as good as ayumix 2, because she simply isn't as mixable as she used to be.

Honestly i'm not expecting ayumix 5 to happen.... i do think a ballads is the replacement for it. If it does happen the remixes won't be as good, although the acoustic orchestra versions would probably be nice. Plus, the non-stop megamix thing just bugs me cuz all i want is long, standalone versions of the new mixes excerpts from ayu-mi-x III was great to have XD cept there are still a few mixes from both ayu trance 2 and ayumix 3 that we haven't gotten standalone yet.... x_X and one remix from ayumix 4 (evolution "razor remix") has only been released on analog in standalone form! It's impossible to find an mp3 of. Annoying.
