"cardinal sins" is a very common phrase and it means primary, fundamental sins. I believe that among Catholics (correct me if I'm mistaken) the cardinal sins are "Anger, Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, Envy, Greed and Lust". Please try searching for the phrase on google.
It does not mean sins committed by a Cardinal.
