No. What was said was that the songs that were being used were selected from those CDs. Not to randomly pick songs from those CDs for the contest. There were obviously more than 32 songs on all those CDs, how would it have even remotely worked if we told people simply to select any 32 songs to go up against eachother?

Was exactly what it said the entire time that thread existed.
The songs were only ever stated in the DL topic and the brackets. That's what you should have looked at to find the list. Because you misunderstood doesn't mean that you were mislead or that we screwed up. You simply misunderstood how the contest is run.
That was the important part in the announcement and one of the places where the 32 remixes were listed.
Anywho, what it comes down to is a misunderstanding. Your question about your entry has been answered.
