I have a new favourite band! haha ^^ I can't remember where I downloaded this, it might have been Jimmy's international music thread, but I forgot to listen to it 'till now, and the song "Symphonie" by Silbermond is so beautiful!! I then went to download the rest of the album- and it's official, I have a new favourite band! I need to buy their album now... my bank account is going to hate me.
As far as I know they only have one studio album and are relatively new... I think they gained popularity in 2004, am I wrong? I think the band is quite young as well. But their music is wonderful! It's rockish and edgy but melodic and emotional even though I dont understand a word of German... I'm guessing it means 'silver world' though? Go Indo-European languages go. My etymologist brain is working away. I want to learn German... my ancestors are German so I was thinking of trying to learn... off topic.. anyways! Who else likes Silbermond?
