I am a firm believer in MPA. Downloading and keeping music you didn't buy, is illegal, wrong and hurtful. (I have a different stance on downloading a song listening to it and deleteing it, that to me is no different than previewing), The MPA has protected my rights as well as the rights all musicians, no matter how big or small you are. That to me is amazing they treat everybody as fairly as possible. Well, now they goofed...BIG TIME.

He said unlicensed guitar tabs and song scores were widely available on the internet but were "completely illegal".
Mr Keiser said he did not just want to shut websites and impose fines, saying if authorities can "throw in some jail time I think we'll be a little more effective".
The MPA is
RAPING the future music industry. Novices will have a hard time learning more styles of music now, and this
WILL create and inspire people to keep playing what they are playing without taking a chance a learning something new.
Innovation comes through now what others teach you but what you discover and create on your own. It is hard enough to learn other styles on your own, but now it will be too much work for most to venture out.
In other words the future of music will not be innovative as often[which is rare enough as it is].
I for one am not offended if someone creates a tablature or sheet music of one of my bands songs, in fact it is a bit flattering. I called up a few of my friends that are in other bands make their living by touring and recording, they agreed with me. I called a few friends that works at various labels...they saw no problem in tabs, or lyrics...in fact they were not aware of this taking place.
I'll be contacting the MPA sometime next week, i'll update you with what they had to say.
