And I'm not too surprised that ORANGE RANGE, Mr.Children, EXILE, SMAP, and BUMP OF CHICKEN are on the list. Never get why they were that popular at all. And Crystal Kay? #7? That's just funny. Namie Amuro is so low?? Why...? That list is messed up, lol.

Yeah I second that. I was stunned to see B'z so low especially since their summer single was such a huge hit. Same goes to L'Arc En Ciel.. I mean it's pretty weird. Also ORANGE RANGE had the worst year imo. Mediocre album and also their singles were lacking. I don't even know how they got #2.
To be honest I don't think Kumi was the best artist of 2005 - I mean some releases were plain excellent but others were simply mediocre. If it is based on hard work then yes she does deserve it since she's worked insanely hard this year but most of them are a hit and miss to me. I'm still traumatised by Lies and Shake It Up even if I am in love with "you" and "D.D.D".
NANA's getting boring. I don't like the single and I honestly not impressed by this change in style. I think it's really overrated.
I donno I find this list pretty odd that's all.
