Maybe B'Z is soo low because of the one single? As for NANA if it's BIG in Japan wouldn't you expect to see Mika high? Im surpised to see Ken Hirai because of his late year.

Yeah since NANA's so insanely huge in Japan and all the fans must get everything of NANA. It's the most popular manga. I mean honestly her Music album sold really bad and suddenly she got those huge sales with a single. Plus there was also the Hyde thing too along with the single so probably fans of his bought it too. Even a completely unknown artist as Yuna got huge because of NANA. Her single is excellent but if it wasn't NANA I bet she wouldn't have sold so well. So yes to answer your question if NANA's big in Japan then Mika would be big too. That's why Sony rushed her best album out while she was popular due to her popularity associated to NANA. Personally I think Kumi deserved the top 5 but not #1 based on releases. she deserved #1 based on effort though.
B'Z also had a best compilation. L'Arc En Ciel had an excellent year with their singles at #1 and #2. Also I'm stunned how low Namie scored and how BoA and Hikki are not in the last (as far as I know since I can't read the non english names). Also Ayu worked so hard this year to get this low? Sad.
